These shankhs are called Vamavarti Shankhs. These are left-handed shankhs. When we keep the shankh with tip towards our body, the empty space comes on the left-hand side.

SHANKHS FOR PUJA
Turbinella Pyrum
These shankhs are called Turbinella Pyrum. These are found in Indian Ocean and used for Puja Rituals. When you have a shanknaad at the time of opening a temple, there is the sound of OM.
SPEECH IMPEDIMENTS
Good for Health
The people who have speech/voice impediments should blow these shankhs. Conch blowing can provide a great exercise for speech, lungs, urinary tract, bladder, lower abdomen, diaphragm, chest and neck muscles.

Use at Temples
Pandits, and priests blow shankhs at the time of opening a temple. It is considered auspicious. It is a sign of the opening of temple to the people living nearby the temple.
Carved Shankh
Carved shankhs are very expensive. It all depends upon the work. If it is a superfine, it is more expensive. Some of the shankhs are with flowers, they are quite cheap.
